インストールしてみた。
PHPとMySQLをインストールするのにかなり手間取ってしまって何度も再インストールした。
MySQLは5.0系だとインストール後に起動するはずのコンフィグを作成するプログラムが実行できない・・・。
手動で設定すればいいんだけど、何となく使えないプログラムが入ってるってのは気に入らないので、5.0系のインストーラ版じゃない方をダウンロード。
ダウンロードしたファイルを「C:Program FilesMySQL」に展開した。
んで、最後に自分でmy.iniを編集してサービスに登録してみたんだけど、なんとなくこれも気に入らない。。
ちなみにその時の手順は、「my-medium.ini」をコピーしてmy.iniを作成、[mysqld]の項でbasedirとdatadirを変更。
# The MySQL server [mysqld] basedir=C:/Program Files/MySQL datadir=C:/Program Files/MySQL/data port = 3306 socket = /tmp/mysql.sock
その後、コマンドプロンプトから「”C:Program FilesMySQLbinmysqld” –install MySQL –defaults-file=”C:Program FilesMySQLmy.ini”」と実行し、”Service successfully installed” と表示されれば終了。
my.iniの選択は↓を参考に・・・。
- my-small.ini # This is for a system with little memory (<= 64M) where MySQL is only used # from time to time and it’s important that the mysqld daemon # doesn’t use much resources.
- my-medium.ini # This is for a system with little memory (32M – 64M) where MySQL plays # an important part, or systems up to 128M where MySQL is used together with # other programs (such as a web server)

- my-innodb-heavy-4G.ini # This is a MySQL example config file for systems with 4GB of memory # running mostly MySQL using InnoDB only tables and performing complex # queries with few connections.
